Yvonne (Phillips) Posten

Mrs. Yvonne Phillips Posten, 86, of Dunkirk, Maryland passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at her nephew’s residence in Enigma.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Posten was born October 25, 1935 in Miller County, Georgia to the late Carl L. Phillips, Sr., and Mamie Lois Bryan Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Larry” Francis Posten, her four brothers and two sisters. She was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Posten was retired after forty years from the United States Pentagon as Manager at a G-13 level. She loved her husband Larry very much and enjoyed boating on Chesapeake Bay. She was very social and loved to entertain in her home in Dunkirk. Mrs. Posten had a big heart, and she was always patient and kind to everyone.  She loved to cook and bake “Hoover Cakes” and she would send them as gifts to her friends and family.

Mrs. Posten is survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much as well as her stepmother and step siblings.
