Vernice "Bobbie" Elizabeth (Krieg) Green

Mrs. Vernice “Bobbie” Elizabeth Krieg Green, 84, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Legacy Village of Tifton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 24, 2023 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Pastor John Lehenbauer officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Green's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Green was born July 22, 1939 in Tracy, MN. to the late Arden Krieg and Irene Hill Krieg, the oldest of twelve children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Green, her brothers, Ralph Krieg and Joel Krieg and her sister Nedra Bennett. Mrs. Green graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa and was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church of Tifton. She married Raymond Green on June 26, 1959 in Wyoming and started their family in Montana with the birth of her oldest child in February of 1961. They moved to Wyoming and welcomed another child in June of 1962. The next step in the journey led them to Georgia where the final child was born and they put down permanent roots. Mrs. Green was retired from Tifton Housing Authority as the director. She was an avid bridge player achieving the Life Gold Master Bridge Player status. She loved to sew, make wedding dresses and prom dresses. She enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes, working crossword puzzles and collecting cookbooks.

Mrs. Green is survived by her children, Belinda and Randy Carter, Tracy and Gena Green and Joanna Norman; her grandchildren, Roy Carter, Samantha and Evan VanCleave, Erin Carter, Wade and Macey Green, Glyn Green, Walker and C. J. Hurley, John Norman and Jake Norman; her great grandchildren, Weston VanCleave Addalyn VanCleave, Sophia Hurley and Rowan Green and Trace Green; her brothers, Randy Krieg, Tim Krieg, Todd Krieg, Perry Krieg and Kevin Krieg; her sisters, Virginia Krieg, Janice Warren and Nelda Krieg.
