Samuel "Gene" Harris

Mr. Samuel Eugene “Gene” Harris, 82, of Tifton, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at his residence

A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Ronnie Cone officiating.

Mr. Harris was born September 30, 1939 in Edison, GA to the late Tollie Franklin and Kathleen Hatcher Harris. Gene served in the US Army and enjoyed spending his day working in his back yard, or fishing. When not outside, he liked to watch NASCAR and football, along with eating and spending time with his family and friends he attended Emanuel Baptist Church

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Della Faye Cone Harris of Tifton; his sons and daughter-in-law; David Eugene and April Harris of Texas, Samuel Keith Harris of Albany, daughters and sons-in-law; Melissa Gay & Glenn Lasseter of Quitman, GA., Melinda Kay & John Sullivan of Ashburn, GA Debra Jean & David Pearson of Cuthbert, GA., 12 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren, 1 sister, Ava Dale Norred of Phoenix City, AL, 3 brothers; Tollie Franklin Harris, Jr. of Brunswick, Ga, Harvey Harris of Orlando, FL, Billy Joe Harris of Tifton, GA
