Rose Wood

Mrs. Rose Hall Wood, 69, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Emory Health Care of Atlanta.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Dr. Mike Carter officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family will be gathering at the home of Vickie and Mickey Bryant, 4801 Frazier Circle, Tifton, Ga.

Richard Hall, Charlie Hall, Wade Hall, Michael Moore, Buddy Padgett and Tommy Barry will serve as pallbearers. Former co-workers will serve as Honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Wood was born October 11, 1949 in Leesville, South Carolina to the late C. L. Hall, Sr., and Wydenia Lorick Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Morgan Spicer, her sister Wydenia King and two sisters-in-law Imogene Hall and Jane Hall. Mrs. Wood was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Scooterville. She was a retired medical secretary and had lived in Tifton since 1958. She had formerly worked with Dr. Hornback and Dr. Aldridge’s offices. Rose was active in her church while her health permitted it. She loved her family and her pride and joy were her grandchildren. Rose was a good cook and enjoyed collecting recipes. She enjoyed watching westerns on T.V. and loved her dog Asher.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Jack Carlton Wood of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tasha and Wade Patterson and Melissa and Mike Spicer  of Tifton; five grandchildren Dawson Patterson, Renay Patterson, Madison Robinson, Malle Spicer and Mindy Spicer; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Mike Moore, Vickie and Mickey Bryant all of Tifton and Deborah Norton of Albany; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Lambert Hall, Jr., Terry and Linda Hall, Don and Annette Hall of Tifton, Billy and Penny Hall of Auburndale, Florida, Byron and Heike Hall and Glen and Susan Hall of Leesville, South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews.
