Robert (Robby) Russell Thacker

Mr. Robert (Robby) Russell Thacker, 62, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 7, 2019 at 5:00 PM in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Brian Allen officiating. Gene Webb and Kenny DeBerry delivering Eulogies. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7th from 3:00 to 4:45 PM at the funeral home before the service.

Robby was born November 29, 1956 in Augusta, Georgia to Juanita Thacker Klementovich of Tifton and the late Russell Carter Thacker. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his Mother-in-law, June White and brother-in-law, Hank White. Robby was employed with Heatcraft of Tifton. He was of Baptist Faith and had lived all of his life in Tift County. Robby was a 1976 graduate of Tift County High School. He loved football especially the Ga. Bulldogs, Nascar, hunting and enjoyed traveling to the beach. The center of his world was his family and he loved being an uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Robby loved his grand dog “Abby”. He was a hardworking, humble and honest man.

Robby is survived by his wife, Beth White Thacker of Tifton to whom he was married for forty-two years and was his high school sweetheart; his daughter Niki Thacker of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law Judy and Kenny DeBerry of Bridgeboro; two brothers, Ricky Thacker of Lenox and Tim Thacker of Cordele; his step-father Charles Klementovich of Tifton; his father-in-law J. H. White of Chula; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lance and Allison White; niece Gracie White all of Chula; nieces and nephews Justin DeBerry, Amber DeBerry Hudson, Whitney Thacker Goff, Hope Thacker Giddens, Heather Thacker Edge, Russ Thacker and many great nieces and nephews.
