Richard "Gerry" Gerald Ayscue

Mr. Richard Gerald “Gerry” Ayscue, 71, of Tifton, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at his residence.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Oakridge Cemetery with Mr. Harold Chambers officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Ayscue was born February 1, 1952 in Henderson, North Carolina. He was the only child of the late George D. Ayscue and Marie Ellis Hayes Ayscue. Gerry graduated with the Class of 1971 at Tift County High School, then he graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Georgia Southern University. Mr. Ayscue was retired from Tifton Aluminum company as a Supervisor and he was currently the Owner/Broker of R. G. Ayscue Realty.

Gerry enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs during football season. He was of Methodist faith and a member of Tifton’s First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Ayscue is survived by his loving wife, Susan Jordan Ayscue, to whom he was married for thirty-five years; his children, Walt Archer and wife Jordan of Acworth, Georgia, Allison Archer Lively and husband Michael, of Ponte Vedra, Florida and Blake Ayscue and his wife Katie of Brunswick Georgia; also the greatest joys of his life, his grandsons, Collin and Landon Archer. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Gerald Jordan and his wife Ginger, Tim Jordan, and sister-in-law Jenny Jordan and many nephews and nieces all of Tifton.
