Patty (Townsend) Rush

Mrs. Patty Townsend Rush, 62, of Omega passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Allen Mullis officiating. Interment will follow at Omega City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home before the service.

Ted Coker, Gary McKenzie, Riley Walker and Michael Howell will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Rush was born July 4, 1959 in Worth County to the late Roy Alvin Townsend and Vivian Helen Johnson Lindsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hornyak and her brother, Dusty Townsend. Patty loved flowers, her dog “Molly” and all of her family. She had traveled all over the United States in a semi-truck. Her favorite pastime was fishing and rescuing lizards and snakes.

Mrs. Rush is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Daniel of Tifton; her grandchildren, Reanna Vorse, Elisha Harrell and Jeremy Harrell all of Albany; her great grandchildren, Audrina Vorse,Cotton Harrell and Everley Harrell all of Albany; her sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Bill Johnson of Omega and special great niece, Chancey Sanders.

Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
