Mildred "Jean" (Brown) Caulder

Mrs. Mildred “Jean” Brown Caulder, 92, of Tifton passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Friday, September 1, 2023 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Glenn Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pierce Caulder, Heath Crawford, Mike Whittington, Tim Hall, Aaron Goodson and DeWayne Causey will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Caulder was born February 10, 1931 in Worth County to the late Hazel Lucille Brown. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charley William Caulder, Sr., who died November 26, 2004, her daughters, Trudy Lynn Caulder and Debbi Crawford, her sisters, Betty Diers, Joyce Creel and Frances Whittington. Mrs. Caulder was raised by her grandparents, Bruster and Fronnia Brown. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Tifton and was retired from J. T. Reddick School as a cook. Jean loved working in her yards with her flowers. Her family came first and she especially loved her grandkids.

Mrs. Caulder is survived by her son, Charles William “Billy” Caulder, Jr., of Tifton; her daughter, Sharon Sizemore of Sylvester; her grandchildren, Heath Crawford of New York, Kaitlin Goodson of Missouri, Pierce Caulder of North Carolina and Lauren Caulder of Georgia; her great grandchildren, Sadie Goodson and Ezra Goodson; her brother and sister-in-law, Bo and Dot Causey of Moultrie; her sisters, Carolyn Wagner and Judy Gay both of Moultrie.
