Obituary

 

Mrs. Linda Mae Bennett Newham, 73, of Sumner, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Newham was born August 10, 1949 in Coffee County, Georgia to the late Lawson Bennett and Dorean Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Edward Newham, her grandchild, Ashley Youngblood and seven siblings. Mrs. Newham was a member of Douglas Church of God and was retired from Shaw Industries of Tifton. She loved to cook, do crossword and jigsaw puzzles and shopping antique stores. She was an awesome grandma and her family was always her number one priority.

Mrs. Newham is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Donnie Alexander of TyTy and Tabatha and Ted Peaster of Fitzgerald; her sons and daughter-in-law, Billy Newham and John and Christina Newham of Fitzgerald; her grandchildren, Kyle and Chynna Adams of Tifton, Kayla and Walker Smith of Mariette, Matthew Kent of Nebraska and Braylan Newham and Rhys Adams; her brothers, Coleman Bennett of Texas, Kenny Bennett, Donald Bennett of Brunswick, Horace and Joan Bennett of Pearson and Frank and Hazel Bennett of Florida. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
