Larry Nadine (Kahler-Hilbers Luke) Johnson

Mrs. Larry Nadine Kahler Hilbers Luke Johnson, 85, of Tifton passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Pastor Steve Luke officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lenox. The family will receive friends Friday, August 27, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Shaun Walls, Tyler Walls, Jordan Luke, Trey Barfield, Jose Cervantes and Joel Griffin will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Johnson was born February 9, 1936 in  Emerson, Nebraska.  Her parents were the late Alfred Kahler and  Gus Hilbers and Gertrude Graham Kahler Hilbers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Y. Johnson, the father of her children, William S. "Bill" Luke, her sister, Shirley Edna Mae Cantu and her two brothers Vinson Hilbers and Sidney Wayne Hilbers. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Saving Grace Church and she worked for many years with Marion Finance Company. Mrs. Johnson moved to Tift County from Ocala, Florida in 2002. She loved her Lord and was a woman of faith. “Miss Larry” was happiest when she was around her family. She was an excellent cook who loved being around people and valued her many friendships. Mrs. Johnson was a good mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Pastor Steve and Tammy Luke of Tifton; her daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Clinton DeWitt of Tifton and Kelly and Tommy Gray of Ocala; five grandchildren, Heather and Joel Griffin, Jennifer Barfield, Jessica and Shaun Walls, T. J. Gray and Jordan and Brenna Luke and nine great grandchildren.
