Larry Joe Cooper, Sr.

Mr. Larry Joe Cooper, Sr., 74, of Tifton died Friday, April 14, 2023 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Oakridge Cemetery with Rev. Ray Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, April 17, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M at Albritton Funeral Directors.

David Faulkner, Roger Graydon, A. J. Johnson, Casey Denny, Michael Denny and Parker Denny will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Cooper was born October 9, 1948 in Tift County to the late Theron Otis Cooper and Blanche Eloise Henderson Cooper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Cooper and Theron Cooper.  Mr. Cooper was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a driver for Pepsi Cola for thirteen years from 1974 to 1989 and then was a driver for Tomberlin Trucking for ten years from 2001 to 2011. Mr. Cooper enjoyed fishing, hunting and building projects. He was the best handyman. He loved his family, spending time with them and cooking for them.

Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife Elaine Bledsoe Cooper; his children, Lori and Parker Denny of Tifton, Larry Joe Cooper, Jr. and Alison of Concord, New Hampshire, Benjamin Phelps of Greensboro, North Carolina and Jennifer and David Faulkner of Tifton; his grandchildren, Michael Denny, Casey Denny, Kayla Graydon, Alli Cooper, Bryson Townes, Olivia Cooper, Cameron Faulkner, Cooper Faulkner and Kaidence Faulkner; one great grandchild, Parker Denny;  his brother, William Cooper and Lavonne of Sylvester; his sister, Myrtle and Lewis Coleman of Sylvester.
