Joyce Ann (McCall) Hutt

Ms. Joyce Ann McCall Hutt, 90, of Tifton passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Harborview Nursing Home of Tifton.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 10, 2023 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Biff Coker and Rev. Stacy Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at the funeral home before the service.

Ms. Hutt grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her Sunday School Class formerly Mrs. Evelyn Finch’s Class.

Ms. Hutt was born September 12, 1932 in Tift County to the late William Thomas McCall and Mary Geraldine Shepherd McCall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pansy McCall Simpson. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Tifton and a graduate of Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Georgia. She received her associate’s degree from Andrew College. Ms. Hutt formerly worked with Potter’s House Child Care, she was an insurance agent from Tifton Insurance Agency, and she worked with special retiree’s program with DFACS.

Ms. Hutt was a strong Christian woman who loved her family and the children she kept at Potter’s House where she was known as” Mama Hutt”. As a member of Northside Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School Class, kept the church nursery and sang in the Church Choir. Her friends and family described her as the sweetest lady ever known and everyone who knew her loved her.

Ms. Hutt is survived by her children, Judy and Bob Thomas of Tifton and Georgia and Doug Mills of Lawrenceville; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Breese and Aaron, Rebekah Rhodes and Kyle Hanna, Aaron Calheiros and Sabrina and Ashley Hall and Justin; her great grandchildren, Anthony, Mackenzie, Isabella, Cassidy, Holden, Brandon and Special family, The James Family, Lyndon and Sandye, Jennifer, Heather, Rachel, Lyndee, Paul and Tim.
