Obituary
Mr. Joseph Michael Brown, 73 of Fitzgerald, formerly of Nashville, Tennessee, died on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
A private service will be held at a later date at the family farm.
Mr. Brown was born October 15, 1949, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the late Joseph Onnie Brown and Betty Joyce Scott Brown. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Joyce Robinson.
Mr. Brown was a great cabinet builder who was last employed by Trevecca University in Nashville, Tennessee. Along with his carpentry wood working, he enjoyed leather crafting, knife making, restoring old vehicles and spending time with his family and friends.
Mike as he was known to his friends and family is survived by his wife of twenty eight years, Betty Hancock Brown, his three daughters and son-in-law, Trish and Tim Sansom of Bartow, Florida, Janice Brown of Lakeland, Florida and Angela Davison of Zephyrhills, Florida, his brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Janet Brown of Irwinville, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
