Janice (Cone) Chandler

Mrs. Janice Cone Chandler, 74, of Tifton, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Chandler was born May 25, 1946 in Berrien County to the late Herbert Cone and Verma Lee Sutton Cone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ferrell Cone. Mrs. Chandler was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and had lived in Tift County most of her life. She was retired from Forstman Company. She loved her family and loved spending time with them and her friends. Miss Janice was a good provider and a hard worker. She loved game shows on T.V. especially the “Price is Right”.

Mrs. Chandler is survived by her former husband, Charles Bannister to whom she was married for twenty-nine years; her daughter and son-in-law, Gennie Spears Patterson and her husband Lynn Patterson of Tifton; four grandchildren, Lekisha Ray, Angel Hope Williams, Katie Spears of Tifton, Loni Sawadogo and her husband Issa Sawadogo of Wesley Chapel, Florida; ten great grandchildren, Seth Golding, Amiyah Johnson, Kynnleigh Johnson, Raelynn Johnson, Skyla Marie Ray, Shaun, Heaven, Sania, Saleem and Amir Sawadogo; three sisters, Donna Carol Goodwin of Poulan, Sue and Tim Sutton of Tifton and Charlie Diane and Manning Brown of Conway, South Carolina; one brother, LaWayne Cone and his wife Faye Cone of Sumner, Georgia and sister-in-law, Linda Bannister Katchinska and family of Greenville, Texas.
