Mrs. Iris “Doll” Carol Register Williams, 93, of West Berrien Community passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. in Oakey Grove Church Cemetery in Berrien County with Rev. Vernon Hughes officiating. There will not be a public visitation.
Grandson and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Williams was born January 3, 1928 in Cook County and was the daughter to the late Glen Register and Estelle Smith Register. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lea Eugene Williams who died January 10, 2008 to whom she was married for sixty-one years at his death, two sons, Melvin Keith Williams and Dennis Frank Williams, one daughter, Leichia Jean Williams, two brothers, Ken Register and Donald Register, four sisters, Irene Stewart, Faye Williams, Betty Marshall and Joyce Zentz. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Williams took pride in providing for her family. She enjoyed working in her garden and sharing her vegetables with others. She loved to travel with her family. Mrs. Williams will be sorely missed by all.
Mrs. Williams is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Homer and Myra Williams of New Smyrna Beach, Fl., Lee and Linda Williams of Orlando and Johnny Williams of Tifton; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Mary and Hoyt Shaw of Tifton, Donnis and Gary Hyde of Brookfield, Kathy and Buck Aultman of Chula, Shirley and Kenny Myers of Lenox, Karen and Dan Coker of Canton and V. Kaye Williams of Valdosta; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one brother, Elsie Register of Tifton and two sisters, Virginia Exum of Tifton and JoAnn Usry of Aiken, SC.
