Howard Richard Pearman

Mr. Howard Richard Pearman, 83, of Tifton peacefully passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 25, 2023 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Don Williams and Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens with military honors rendered. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Brian Curry, Josh Curry, Guy Williams, Derick Snow, Kevin Williams and Jed Pearman will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Pearman was born February 11, 1940 in Tift County to the late George Washington Pearman, Sr., and Otha Sumner Pearman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Jacqueline “Jackie” Williams Pearman to whom he was married for fifty-nine years at the time of her death on January 14, 2022. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, G. W. Pearman, Jr., and Bennie Lee Pearman and his sister Melba Clifton. Mr. Pearman was a member of First Baptist Church of TyTy and a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a graduate of Berrien County High School. He married the love of his life “Jackie” after high school and he was drafted into the United States Army where he was stationed and served most of his time in Hawaii. After his military service, he came back to Tifton and started a family. He always stayed busy gardening and doing yard work. After working thirty plus years with Master Mix Feeds and before Jackie retired, he worked ten plus years at Walmart Pharmacy Distribution. After she retired, he then stopped working so they could enjoy their retirement together.

Mr. Pearman is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law; Tammy Fowler and Melanie and Travis Hall of Tifton, four grandchildren; Erin and D. J. Poole, Brayden Fowler, Clark Hall and Kenna Hall and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
