Hector Javier Nunez-Aguilar

Hector Javier Nunez-Aguilar, 67, of Omega passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville, Florida.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church with Father Peter Oyenugba and Deacon J. Brian Bergeron officiating. Interment will follow at Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Hector was born February 20, 1956 in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico to the late Juan Nunez Vasquez and the late Adela Aguilar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Hector Nunez Almaguer. Hector was a member of Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church and was a welder for Medder’s Irrigation. He was a beloved man, caring, loved baseball especially the Braves and horse races. Hector was very involved in church.

Hector is survived by his wife, Juanita Almaguer De Nunez of Omega; his son, David Nunez and his wife, Brenda Nunez of Tifton; his daughter-in-law, Reyna Nunez, Hector Junior’s wife, (+); four grandsons and three granddaughters; four brothers, Jesus, David, Ruben and   Jose Luis; his sisters, Ernestina, Norma and Ana
