Frances Jeanette (Craft) Wilson

Frances C. Wilson, 89, of Tifton, GA, passed away on May 25, 2023, in the comfort of her cottage home. Frances was the youngest of six children and is predeceased by her siblings, Mary Eugene Craft, Marjorie Ethredge, Walter Craft, Carolyn Donahoo and John Franklin Craft.

Frances was born January 31, 1934, to Jett and Zollie Craft in the rural community of Elmodel, GA. Her love of the natural environment was evident throughout her life as she loved to spend time outdoors nurturing plants in the garden, appreciating wildlife, hiking in the woods, or fishing and hunting with her family. Frances married and raised two boys with Charles Sever, II (Norman, OK).

Throughout her life Frances dearly cherished her church community and her family and friends. Her love of God was evident in every aspect of her life and was shown by her generosity and kindness to all. Though her vibrant spirit will be missed by all that remain, Frances is now enjoying living with the Trinity.

Frances is survived by sons Charles Sever, III (Houston, TX) and Mike Sever (Golden, CO) her five granddaughters Katherine Kraft (Golden, CO), Emily Crenshaw (Grand Junction, CO), Grace Bell (Phippsburg, ME), Melissa VanNess (Houston, TX), Amy Guerrero (Houston, TX), six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Her family and church will hold a memorial service at Grace and Mercy Church of Tifton at 4001 N. Tift Avenue on Saturday, May 27 at 11:30 am. All family and friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Grace and Mercy Church to fulfill her wish for new alter kneeling cushions.
