Frances Lee Hancock Shaw Spillers, 84 of Chula died Saturday, August 12, 2023 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023, in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Kris Denning officiating. The interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church in Berrien County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, August 15, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M at the funeral home.
Dalton Shaw, Max Ledlow, George Hill, Mitchell Tillman, Dusty Carter, and Wayne Hancock will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Spillers was born March 7, 1939, in Berrien, Nashville, GA to the late Earnest Eugene Hancock and Fannie Lee Harrell Hancock. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Harvey Lee Shaw after forty-three years of marriage, second husband John Marvin Spillers after twelve years of marriage, two brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Frances graduated from Berrien county high school. After high school, Mrs. Spillers went to Tifton School of Practical Nursing to become an LPN. She was a wonderful Christian woman who loved God, loved her children and she enjoyed attending church at First Assembly of God. In her spare time, she enjoyed needle point, crafts, crocheting, and cross stitching.
She is survived by her three daughters and one son-in-law, Debra Elaine Morris of Tampa, FL., Wanda Darlene Tillman of Tifton, Donna Lee Morgan and her husband John of Nicholson, two sons, Harvey Lamar Shaw of Chula, and Timothy Paul Shaw of Chula, her brother Woodrow Hancock and his wife Linda of Adel. She had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
