Mr. Edwin King, 83, of Tifton passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Pruitt Health Care Center of Ashburn.
Due to the national emergency, a private family graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 14th in Oak Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Andy Ring officiating.
Mr. King was born February 4, 1937 in White County, Georgia to the late Herman E. King and Myrtle King King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Barton King to whom he was married for forty-four years when she died in 2008, his son James King, three brothers Everett King, Earl King, Herman “Bubba” King and two sisters, Gail King and Faye Williams. Mr. King was retired from Avondale Mills after forty-five years and had lived most of his life in Tift County. He had attended along with his wife New Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. King loved to fish and was an Atlanta Braves fan. He loved being outside and working in his yard. His special love was his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. King is survived by his daughter, Deborah King Willis of Tifton; two grandchildren, Kerri Joyner and Jason and Deaven Willis; four great grandchildren, Kiley Joyner, Whitley Joyner, Bryce Willis and Madison Willis; two sisters and brother-in-law, Joann and Billy Spicer of Tifton and Mary King of Brunswick.
