Connie (Giddens) DeLoach

Mrs. Connie Giddens DeLoach, 66, of Chula passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at her residence.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Keith Norris and Rev. Isaac Thomas officiating. Eulogy to be given by Lori Murphy. A private interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. DeLoach was born April 6, 1955 in Tifton to the late Mrs. Bronnie Mae Sammons Giddens Brown and the late J B Giddens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather Jesse Brown; her brothers, Norman Giddens and Stanley Giddens; her sister, Florene Giddens; her mother-in-law, Elnita Thomas. Mrs. DeLoach was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Tifton and had lived in Tift County for her entire life. Connie was a homemaker, worked with Tift County Head Start and the Tift County Sheriff’s Department Support Services. She loved her family dearly and was very active in her children’s and grandchildren lives serving as a Tift County Band Mom for twelve years. Connie was a woman of faith being active in her church. Connie's favorite saying was, If I beat cancer I win, if I don't beat cancer I still win. She taught us how to live but not how to live without her. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. DeLoach is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Walter “Buddy” DeLoach, Jr., of Chula; her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Troy Murphy of Chula; two sons and daughter-in-law, Bo DeLoach of Anniston, Ala and Isaac Jeb and Reba DeLoach of Sycamore; her grandchildren, Dylan DeLoach, Nathan Smith, Isaac Rion DeLoach, Georgia DeLoach, Savannah DeLoach, Nikola DeLoach, Brooke Murphy and Kyle Murphy; three sisters and brother-in-law, Anita Taylor of Tifton, Becky Brinkley of Tifton and Rita and Tim Jackson of Omega; two brothers, Mike Giddens of Tifton and Eric Giddens of Adel. She was raised with her cousins, Diane Barber, Elaine Giddens, Ernestine Farmer, Florence Giddens, Pam Joiner and Buddy Giddens. She was loved by her nieces and nephews.
