Charles "C.C." Clayton Gray

Charles Clayton “C.C.” Gray, 25, of Chula passed on Sunday, July 23, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Waterloo Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Pangle and Rev. Donnie Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Waterloo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:45 to 10:45 A.M. at the church before the service.

Pallbearers will be Andon Wright, Daniel Black, Jacob Joyner, Tyler Dorman, Rusty Dorman and Joey Dorman.

C. C. was born March 20, 1998 in Tift County to the late Randy Gray and the late Dixie Joyner Gray. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, W. C. Gray and Mary Gray.  He was a member of Waterloo Baptist Church and was a 2016 graduate of Irwin County High School. C. C. was employed by Townsend Tree Service as a tree removal specialist. He liked to fish, hunt and attend bonfires with friends. He was a very mannerly young man and a hard worker.

C. C. is survived by his maternal grandparents, Wanda and Charles Joyner of Waterloo; his uncle, Casey Joyner and his wife, Sima of Tifton; his aunt, Leslie Sutton and her husband, Chad of Athens; his cousins, Jacob Joyner and Calla Joyner.
