Mary Louise Tygart Woellert, 99 of Brunswick formerly of Tifton passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at her daughter’s residence in Brunswick.
Graveside services will be held, Monday, May 14th at 11:00a.m. in Tift Memorial Gardens with Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating. Interment to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Woellert was born August 29, 1918 in Nashville, Georgia to the late Robert W. Tygart and Eulalia M. Peek Tygart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Harold (Yank) Woellert to whom she married in 1942 and he died in 1987 and her sister, Ena Mae Tygart Keaton. Mrs. Woellert was of Baptist faith and had lived most of her life in Tifton. She retired from Coastal Plain Experiment Station and she was member of American Legion, Woodmen of the World and Girl Scouts of America. Mrs. Woellert was friends with everyone she met. She loved sharing her homemade crochet Christmas Angels. She also loved to tell jokes, but mostly she loved to put a smile on faces.
Mrs. Woellert is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis Anne and Paul Joiner of Brunswick, Georgia and Jo Ann and Andy Cook of Montrose, Georgia; grandchildren, Jennifer Joiner Karlsson, Clint and Ginger Joiner, Chris and Julie Joiner, Kelly and Clay Cannon, Kayce and Casey Morris; great grandchildren, Michael Pendarvis, David Joiner, Rosemerrie Joiner, Kate Joiner, Andrew Joiner, Anthony Joiner, Andie Cannon, Will Joiner.
