Mr. Charles Warren Housworth, 84, of Tifton, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Deacons of Brookfield Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Housworth was born August 23, 1935 in Coweta County, Georgia to the late James Housworth and Nadine Garner Housworth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Janelle Costley Housworth who died March 28, 2018 and his sister Charlotte Shoemake. Mr. Housworth was a member of Brookfield Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and his church was very important to him. He served with the Army National Guard. He retired from Tifton Aluminum serving as Vice President of Quality Control and then served on the board of directors and as a technical advisor for Briteline in Summerville, South Carolina. Mr. Housworth enjoyed his vegetable garden and race cars.
Mr. Housworth is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Mary Lynn and Steve Williard of Houston, Texas; his son Eddie Housworth of Tifton; two grandchildren Piers Farebrother and Abby Williard; two nieces Donna McMillen Kiessling and Lisa Shoemake June; two nephews Ronnie McMillen and Tim Shoemake.
