William Harry Corbett, 82, of Tifton passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Pruitt Health-Crestwood in Valdosta.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, January 27th in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Gary Cadwell and Rev. Steve Tucker officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 26th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
Vince Castleberry, Bobby Castleberry, William Manning, Jeff Manning, Christopher Petrella and Andrew Petrella, Jr., will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Corbett was born October 19, 1935 in Ware County to the late Willie C. Corbett and Annie Nolie Smith Corbett. He was married to Betty Jeanelle Braddy Corbett of Tifton for sixty-four years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Adam Schrier and one brother, Howard D. Corbett. He had lived most of his life in Tifton and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He a Veteran serving in the United States Navy. Mr. Corbett was retired from Georgia Department of Transportation. Prior to working with the Ga. Department of Transportation, he worked at the drive-in theatre and the Town Theatre both in Tifton. He loved movies, country music and going to Flea markets. He was previously active in his church where he sang in the choir.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Jerome McNeese, Diane and Stephen Happel; seven grandchildren, Angie and Andy Ward, Vince and Jennifer Castleberry, Jr., Bobby and Brandi Castleberry, Michelle Cooper, William and Lisa Manning, and Jeff Manning; thirty great grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
